Being feminist is not sensational: Leighton Meester

Former 'Gossip Girl' actress Leighton Meester says being a feminist is normal and not something to be made about.

Meester, 28, feels everyone should consider him or herself as a feminist, reported E! Online.

"Yeah, it shouldn't be some sort of sensational news item. It's something that I think all people should say about themselves," she said when asked if the actress considers herself a feminist.

Recently 'The Big Bang Theory' actress Kaley Cuoco received backlash when she said in an interview that she was not a feminist. Cuoco later apologised for her opinion.
