Bengal Govt confers Biswa Bangla Sharad Samman to 55 Pujas

West Bengal government today conferred the 'Biswa Bangla Sharad Samman' awards to over 55 Durga Pujas in and around Kolkata.

Announcing the awards, information and cultural Secretary Atri Bhattachrya said 15 pujas, including state youth affairs minister Aroop Biswas' Suruchi Sangha, was conferred Biswa Bangla Sharad Samman award in the 'Sera R Sera' category.

Three pujas were given the award in the best Durga Puja pandal category. Four including Treedhara were given the award in the best Durga Puja idol category, while ten pujas were conferred awards in the best environment friendly Puja category.

Awards were given in best branding, best artist and best idea category too.
