Amidst reports in the media that he had said Hindu women are "not factories" for producing children, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat today refused to answer questions from reporters here regarding the purported remarks.

As he left Kanpur, where he was attending the four-day RSS 'manthan' meet, Bhagwat was buttonholed by media personnel at the railway station here for comments over the said reports, but refused to share his thoughts in this regard.

The purported comments by Bhagwat were made in the light of statements by BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj asking Hindu women to each produce four children.
