Biting cold in Rajasthan, Sikar shivers at -1 deg C

Rajasthan continued to reel under intense cold conditions with Sikar in the plains recording the lowest minimum temperature in the state at minus 1 degrees Celsius.

Sikar was followed by Churu, which recorded the night temperature at 0.1 degrees Celsius, the MeT Department said here today.

Mount Abu also recorded a minimum of 0.5 degrees Celsius, whereas mercury in Bhilwara, Sriganganagar, Alwar, Pilani, Vanasthali and Dabok dipped to 0, 0.2, 1.5, 1.9, 2.1 and 2.2 degrees Celsius respectively, it said.

Whereas the minimum temperature in Ajmer, Jaipur, Kota, Barmer, Bikaner and Jaisalmer was recorded as 3, 4, 5.8, 7.5, 7.6 and 7.8 degrees Celsius respectively, the weatherman said.
