BJP appoints party's Daman and Diu chief

BJP today appointed Vasubhai Patel as president of the party's state unit in Daman and Diu.

The appointment was announced by BJP president Rajnath Singh. The party chief accepted the resignation B M Machhi, who had put in his papers as the state unit's chief.

Prior to his elevation as party chief, Patel worked as general secretary of the Daman and Diu unit of BJP.
