Chief Minister Harish Rawat's chief spokesman Surendra Kumar today accused the BJP of having a deal with Noida-based online company which is allegedly involved in Rs 3,700 crore ponzi scam.

Kumar, in a press conference, released a picture of the company's director purportedly showing some papers to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in the latter's drawing room, alleging that it was enough proof of the BJP's proximity to the company.

Claiming that the company was spending Rs 2,000 crore in Uttarakhand elections, under an arrangement with the BJP, Kumar said the party was setting a wrong precedent.

"It is sending out a message that elections in future will not be contested without money power in the state," he said.

Nobody from BJP was immediately available for comment.
