Three youths arrested in Coimbatore by Special Investigation Division of CB-CID, which is probing the murder case of two BJP and Hindu Munnani leaders in Tamil Nadu, were today remanded in judicial custody by a court here.
Mohammed Nizar, Rafiq and Salabuddin, who were arrested yesterday from Ukkadam locality, were produced before Magistrate Ramalingam who remanded them in 14-day judicial custody.
The three were detained in connection with the recent seizure of a foreign-made pistol from Mohammed Ansari, whose judicial remand was extended by the court till September 5.

Police said the three were brought here as they wanted to probe close links between Muslim outfits in Melayapalayam in Tirunelveli district and those in Coimbatore, especially Ukkadam area.
The trio also had close links with Kichan Bukari, the main accused in the Bangalore blasts on April 17 last, they said.
The SID is probing the murders of state BJP General Secretary V Ramesh in Salem and Hindu Munnai leader Vellaiyan in Vellore.
