BJP holds stir seeking prohibition

The Tamil Nadu State unit of the BJP today held a protest demonstration here seeking implementation of prohibition in the state.

Leading the protest, BJP state unit chief Tamilisai Soundararajan said such agitations seeking prohibition would be intensified.

In a similar effort, Tamil Maanila Congress chief G K Vasan launched a signature campaign here against liquor and urging prohibition.

Almost all opposition parties in the state have either staged or announced protests to press the AIADMK Government to implement prohibition.
