Police have lodged an FIR against unknown persons for allegedly kidnapping a BJP leader here and demanding a ransom of Rs 20 lakh for his release.
Parmeshwar Dayal Gupta lodged the complaint at Kasna police station stating that when he was returning home, some unknown persons kidnapped and took him to a secluded place last night near F Block gate in Alpha sector, police said.
He said he was pushed into the back of the car, however, he managed to escape from the clutches of the kidnappers, they said.
"The FIR has been lodged and the manhunt launched to nab the kidnappers," they added.
