Voicing concern over decline in Hindu population, BJP national Secretary H Raja today said there was a need to bring in the uniform civil code and anti-conversion law.

There was concern in the minds of the people about the declining population of Hindus as shown in the recent census, he told reporters here.

In Kerala the Hindu population which was 69 per cent some 100 years ago, had come down to 48 per cent, he said.

Saying that the one child norm was being followed only by the Hindus, he said the uniform civil code and anti-conversion law should be brought in.
