BJP MLC files complaint against actor Balakrishna

Telangana"BJP MLC N Ramachander Rao today"filed a police complaint"against actor-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna, alleging he used foul language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi"during his speech in Vijayawada yesterday.

The actor reportedly made the remarks at the culmination of a 12 hour fast yesterday by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, demanding fulfillment of"promises made in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act.

The BJP had taken strong exception to the actor-MLA's outburst and demanded an apology.

Osmania University Police said they were in the process of seeking legal opinion on the complaint.

In a related development, BJP floor leader in the Andhra Pradesh assembly Vishnu Kumar Raju submitted a memorandum to Governor E S L Narasimhan against Balakrishna's 'derogatory' remarks and sought approrpriate action against him.
