BJP today rejected Congress' claim that Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has changed the face of the city and alleged she even could not solve the problems of people living in her constituency in the last 15 years "leave alone" the whole city.

"Congress is making a false claim that Dikshit has brought a major transformation in the city. She could not even fulfill the promises she made to the people of her New Delhi constituency," BJP's Chief Ministerial nominee Harsh Vardhan said.

Addressing a rally on Sunday, Congres Vice President Rahul Gandhi had showered praise on Dikshit for "changing the face" of Delhi and sought the people's support to the party in the December 4 assembly polls.

Congress has been aggressively projecting development work carried out by Dikshit's government and it will be a major highlight of the party's election campaign.

Vardhan alleged over 30,000 people living in 13 slums in New Delhi constituency, represented by Dikshit for the last three consequtive terms, have been deprived of basic amenities like drinking water though she had promised to solve their problems.

"More than 15,000 families in Balmiki Bastis are living in pathetic conditions. They even do not get supply of drinking water and other basic facilities," he claimed.
