BJP replaces Latehar candidate facing warrants

The BJP today dropped Narayan Bhokta who was originally nominated by the party from Latehar Assembly constituency after it learnt that a warrant of arrest is pending against him.

"Brijmohan Ram has been nominated in place of Narayan Bhokta, who has arrest warrants in connection with a case and party did not know this," BJP spokesman Pradip Sinha said here.

After learning about his candidature as BJP candidate from Latehar (SC), Ram filed his papers on the last day of nomination today.
