BJYM demands reopening of Kargil-Skardu road

The youth wing of BJP today held a protest march in Kargil district demanding the reopening of Kargil-Skardu road in Ladakh sector.

Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha state president Ravinder Raina said, "the reopening of Kargil-Skardu road will revive the cultural contacts of Kargil in India with Gilgit-Baltistan in Pakistan."

The Kargil-Skardu road linked Kargil with Skardu, a city in Gilgit-Baltistan. Since the occupation of Gilgit Baltistan by Pakistan, the road has been closed.
