Blackbuck found dead in UP

A blackbuck was found dead in a field near Gauriya Bhiram village under the Shardanagar range of south Kheri forest division, officials said.

"The condition of the body indicated that the wretched animal had been attacked by other violent animals," Sub-divisional officer Lakhimpur Ram Naresh Singh said.

After the initial investigation and the post-mortem, the forest department has ruled out poaching of the rare animal, he said.
