Bullet-riddled bodies of a village chief and another villager, who were allegedly kidnapped yesterday, were found today in Nungkham Gamnom Village in Manipur's newly-created Tengnoupal district, police said.
The bodies were found around 25 km from the border town of Moreh this afternoon.
Suspected militants had kidnapped the two men yesterday.
The deceased have been identified as village chief Khotmang Mate and villager Timpao Haokip, police said.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
