Body fished out from Cauvery

The body of a 24-year-old man was today fished out from the Cauvery river at the Athimarathukadavu spot, 53 from here, police said.

The deceased hailed from Karnataka and was part of a team which had come to Hogenakkal on Sunday.

They were taking bath in the Cauvery when the man drowned.

A team of police, fire and rescue services personnel and few coracle operators were searching for the body since Sunday.
