Body of girl student found hanging in Visva Bharati hostel

The body of a girl student of the open air school school run by Visva Bharati University here was found hanging at her hostel room today, police said.

The class 12 student was found hanging at Madhabi Hostel for girls this morning, a senior police official of Birbhum district said.

The girls hostel of Patha Bhavan is located within the Visva Bharati campus.

All the hostels have adequate security cover for 24 hours, a top varsity official said, confirming the incident.
