Body of a 47-year-old sports journalist was found lying in Vidur Nagar area of the city, police said today.
The body of journalist Lokendra Bayas was recovered from CAT Road area near Vidur Nagar, Rajendra Nagar police station in-charge, Kamlesh Sharma adding that Bayas was associated with an eveninger.
Police suspect that he died as a result of some illness. "However, the exact cause will be known only after getting the autopsy report," Sharma said.
The last rites of Bayas, known for his unique style of writing sports copies, were performed today at a local crematorium.
Bayas is survived by his wife, a son and two daughters.
