Body of man found in pond in Bengal's Khardaha

Body of a man was found in a pond in West Bengal's North 24 Paraganas district on Friday, police said.

The body was found in the pond near Sodepur railway gate number 8 in Khardah police station area, they said.

The body, which is yet to be identified, was first spotted by locals who informed the police.

Officials of the Barrackpore Police Commissionerate said that the body has been sent for post-mortem examination and further investigations are underway.
