Body of young policeman washes ashore

The body of a 27-year-old police personnel, attached to the Malabar Special Police at Malappuram, was found washed ashore today at Elathur near here, police said.

The body of Ligesh, a Civil Police Officer, was noticed around 6 am near a telephone booth at the Elathur beach.

The reason for his death was under investigation, they said.
