Co-producer of film 'Gali-Gali Chor Hai', Chandani, against whom a lookout notice was released by the investigating agencies, was detained by the immigration officials after he arrived here on an Emirates flight from Dubai, a airport official said.
He has been handed over to the Sardarnagar police station, he said.
The police officials confirmed they have the custody of Chandani, who is wanted in a case related to forgery in Mumbai. He will be taken to Mumbai soon, they said.
Chandani's name had figured in a IPL betting racket during the interrogation of an arrested bookie, police said.
On May 17, Mumbai police had arrested six betters, including two top bookies Sonu Malad alias Batiya and Deven Kothari alias Bhaiji, on the charge of pledging money on IPL cricket matches.
Chandani was currently staying in Dubai and is said to be working as the second-in-command to top bookie Sunil Abhuchandani alias Sunil Dubai.
