Boy dies after falling into borewell in Raj

A two-and-a-half-year old boy who fell into an 80-feet deep open borewell last evening in Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan died today.

Sandeep was playing in a farm when he accidentally fell into the borewell in Goluwala area, Sub-Inspector of Goluwala police station, Buta Singh said today.

Rescue operations were pressed into service and the body was pulled out with the help of a hook in the wee hours of today, Singh said.

The body has now been handed over to the family members, he added.
