Boy killed in bomb explosion

A five-year-old boy was killed and two girls were injured when a bomb went off at Chillona in the district today.

The incident occurred when the children were going to an Anganwadi centre when the bomb, lying on the roadside, exploded, a police official said.

Chief Minister Raghubar Das announced Rs one lakh as compensation to the family of the deceased and Rs 20,000 each to the girls for treatment, an official release said.

An inquiry was intiated into the incident, the police official said.
