Brick kiln worker murdered in Maharashtra; one held

A 35-year-old brick kiln worker was killed allegedly by his co-worker in Ambarnath town in the district, police said today.
Suresh Kusha Khutare, a resident of Shahapur was working with a brick kiln in the district. He along with his co-worker Shatrugana Sahu were consuming alcohol on the night of October 31 at the kiln, Police Inspector (Crime) S K Jadhav of Hill Line Police Station said.
An altercation broke out between the two over some petty issue. Following this, Sahu (40) hit Suresh with a brick. The victim was was killed on the spot, said the officer.

The accused, who works as a dumper driver, was apprehended last night, he said.
A case under section 302 (murder) of IPC was registered in this regard and a probe was underway, Jadhav added.
