Border Roads Organisation is putting together its annual conference of Chief Engineers' and Equipment Management from tomorrow.
"BRO is organising its annual Chief Engineers & Equipment Management Conference, 2014 at GREF Centre, Pune from September 23 to 26," a Defence spokesperson said.
The Director General, BRO and its 18 Chief Engineers of various projects will be attending the conference to take stock of various ongoing works and to charter future course of action for the organisation, he said.
Sanjeev Ranjan, Secretary, Border Roads Development Board (BRDB) will also be present on the occasion. Various issues of organisational interests will be discussed in the forum, he added.
Certain firms have also been invited to deliver talks on latest technologies which can be implemented in BRO.
BRO is playing a yeoman role in meeting the strategic and operational infrastructural requirements of the Army, he said adding that it also makes a significant contribution to socio-economic development especially of the border areas.
