BSF seizes heroin near Indo-Pak border

The Border Security Force (BSF) today seized heroin hidden in an iron-pipe in Ferozepur sector near the Indo-Pak border, an official said.

BSF spokesperson R S Kataria said the seizure was made by a patrol team this evening in an area under the Mehadipur Border Outpost.

The heroin was found in a 30-inch long pipe along with two Pakistani SIM cards, he said.

The spokesperson claimed that the heroin was worth Rs 22 lakh in the international market.

The BSF has seized 109.43 kg of heroin and 14 Paksitani SIM cards this year, he said.
