Buffalo gets stuck on track, throws train services off-track

Train services were disrupted for some hours on the Tapri-Manani route in Saharanpur district after a buffalo got stuck on the track.

The bovine had got its hoof stuck on a fishplate of the track yesterday following which the Haridwar-Delhi passenger train had to be halted, railway officials said.

The animal was freed but not before causing a delay of some hours, they said.
