: A man was arrested from neigbouring Tamil Nadu today in connection with burglaries he allegedly committed in various areas here in the last 10 months and 27 sovereigns of gold jewellery and 1.2 kg of silver articles recovered from him
Senior Superintendent of Police Rajiv Ranjan told reporters that Harry Phillips was arrested from Tirupattur in Tamil Nadu and had beeninvolved in several cases of burglaries in Puducherry.
Besides the gold jewellery and silver articles, two mobile phones were also recovered from him

Ranjan claimed the man had confessed to his involvement in the offence.
He had also broken into the house of a tashildar here recently and decamped with two mobile phones and Rs 5,000 cash, he said.
The man was nabbed after police tracked his mobile phone signals, the SSP said.
