Burnt body of middle-aged man recovered

Burnt body of a middle-aged man has been recovered by the Dharuhera police from a field in Mirpur village, which is about 10 km from here, police said today.

The body which was found yesterday was identified as of Mohar Singh (45), a confectioner from Turkiawas village. On the complaint of the brother of the deceased, a case was today registered by the police on murder charges against one Mahesh Kumar Yadav of Mirpur village.

The deceased's brother Laxmi Narain alleged that the accused Mahesh, who had taken Mohar Singh with him on Friday, apparently killed him, burnt his body and then threw it in a village field.
 

A senior police official said that they were awaiting the postmortem report to proceed further in the case.

The body has been sent for postmortem to PGIMS Rohtak, ahe said.
