Eight passengers were killed and 16 others received burn injuries when a private bus caught fire in Bihar's Nalanda district today.
Superintendent of Police Kumar Ashish said that the dead comprised seven adults and a child.
Of the injured, 10 have been sent to Patna while six others are at the Sadar hospital at Biharsharif, the district headquarters.

The bus was on way to Sheikhpura from Patna when it caught fire at 6 pm at Harnaut Bazar, 50 km from the state capital, the SP said.
The entire bus was engulfed in flames, he said adding the cause of fire was yet to be ascertained.
