Bus crash kills 8, injures 11 in Mexico

A bus has crashed against a freight truck in western Mexico, killing eight people and injuring 11 others.

Michoacan state's civil defense says the bus was traveling from the city of Guadalajara to a port on the Pacific coast when it crashed early yesterday with a truck parked on the highway.

The civil defense's officer on duty Rafael Pineda said the causes of the accident are still unknown.
