Chhattisgarh's IAS Officers Association has strongly condemned the alleged "assault" on Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash.

"The IAS officers' Association of Chhattisgarh strongly condemns the assault, harassment and intimidation of the chief secretary, Government of NCT Delhi and calls for immediate remedial action so that officers may continue to discharge their duties without fear or favour," associations secretary Richa Sharma said today in a media release.

The reported incident is without parallel in the annals of service and has no place in a civil and dignified society, she said.

"We express our solidarity with our colleagues in Delhi and join them in their demand for swift and exemplary action against the perpetrators," she added.

The Delhi Police had yesterday registered an FIR against AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan and others on a complaint by Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash who alleged that he was assaulted by a few AAP MLAs during a meeting at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's residence.
