Car festival of Brahadheeswara temple held

The car festival of the famous Brahadheeswara temple here was held today.

State Agriculture Minister R Doraikannu inaugurated the festival in the presence of Thanjavur MLA M Rangasamy and district Collector R A Annadurai.

Hundreds of devotees pulled the car through streets around the temple, said officials.

Also, thousands of residents gathered at the streets surrounding the temple to witness the event and seek the Almighty's blessings, the officials added.
