Cardamom futures decline 0.41%, hurt by easing spot demand

Cardamom prices declined by 0.41 per cent to Rs 829.80 per kg in futures trade today as speculators trimmed positions after demand in the spot markets declined against adequate stocks.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in September fell Rs 3.40, or 0.41 per cent to Rs 829.80 per kg in a business turnover of 3 lots.
Market analysts attributed the fall in cardamom futures to offloading of positions by participants owing to slackened demand in the spot market against sufficient stocks.
