Cardamom prices declined by 0.98 per cent to Rs 1,042 per kg in futures trade today as traders trimmed their positions amid easing demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in June month fell by Rs 10.30, or 0.98 per cent to Rs 1,042 per kg in business turnover of 3 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by participants due to subdued demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position on increased supplies from producing belts mainly influenced cardamom prices in futures trade.
