Cardamom prices drifted 1.27% to Rs 760.50 per kg in futures trading today as traders trimmed positions, triggered by adequate stocks on higher supplies from producing regions at the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in March fell Rs 9.80, or 1.27% to Rs 760.50 per kg in a business turnover of 16 lots.
On similar lines, the spice for delivery in February traded lower by Rs 9.20, or 1.20% to Rs 760.20 per kg in 216 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by participants, driven by ample stocks on higher supplies from producing belts against easing demand, mainly kept pressure on cardamom prices at the futures trade.
