Cardamom prices rose further by 0.78 per cent to Rs 842.70 per kg in futures trade today as speculators indulged in enlarging their positions, taking positive cues from spot market on rising demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange cardamom for delivery in May month advanced by Rs 6.50 or 0.78 per cent to Rs 842.70 per kg in business turnover of 171 lots.
In a similar fashion, the spice for delivery in June contracts traded higher by Rs 5.30 or 0.64 per cent to Rs 830.00 per kg in 37 lots.

Analysts said speculators enlarged positions, triggered by rising demand in the spot market mainly kept cardamom prices higher at futures trade.
They said some exports enquiries also supported the upside, they said.
