Cardamom prices moved down by 0.62 per cent to Rs 1,199.90 per kg in futures trade today as investors trimmed their positions amid easing demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in May fell by Rs 7.50, or 0.62 per cent, to Rs 1,199.90 per kg, in a business turnover of 13 lots.
Analysts said offloading of positions by participants owing to fall in demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position on increased supplies from producing belts mainly led to the decline in cardamom prices at futures trade.
