Cardamom futures slide 1.60% on weak spot cues

Cardamom prices fell by 1.60 per cent to Rs 1,002 per kg in futures trade today as speculators cut bets, taking negative cues from spot market on muted demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in May was trading lower by Rs 16.30, or 1.60 per cent, to Rs 1,002 per kg in business turnover of nine lots.
Marketmen said offloading of positions by participants owing to slackened demand in the physical market against adequate stocks position on higher supplies from producing belts weighed on cardamom futures.
