Cardamom up 0.9% on firm demand

Cardamom prices rose by 0.89% to Rs 899 per kg in futures trade today after speculators created positions supported by rising demand at spot markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in October rose by Rs 8, or 0.89%, to Rs 899 per kg, with a business turnover of just one lot.
The spice for delivery in November increased by Rs 4.30, or 0.51%, to Rs 844 per kg with a trading volume of 230 lots.
Traders said firm demand in the physical market against restricted arrivals from producing belts influenced cardamom prices at futures trade.
