Cardamom prices rose by Rs 10 per kg in the national capital today on fresh buying by retailers and stockists amid low stocks.
Cardamom prices such as chitridar, robin, bold and extra bold increased by Rs 10 each to settle at Rs 720-770, Rs 700-760, Rs 750-770 and Rs 920-970 per kg, respectively.
Traders said buying support from retailers and stockists against fall in supplies from producing belts, mainly pushed up cardamom prices on the wholesale kirana market here.
Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:
Ajwain (per kg) 15,500-20,000, black pepper (per kg) 700-850, betel-nut (kg) 180-200, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,400-1,430 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,500- 1,630.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 720-770, cardamom (colour robin) 700-760, cardamom bold 750-770, cardamom extra (bold) 920-970 and cloves 850-925.
