A case has been registered against unidentified persons for allegedly engaging in illegal mining in Ismailpur village here, police said today.
On the basis of a tip-off a mining inspection team reached the spot where a gang was doing illegal mining. After seeing the team, the members fled the scene, police said.
The site has been secured and police is looking for the owner of the site, they said.
