Case against six for illegal confinement of man

Six persons have been booked for allegedly keeping a man in illegal confinement for over two years here.

An FIR was registered against Bhagwan Das and five others of Sirab village yesterday on the orders of Aligarh DIG for keeping the victim Ravindra Kumar in illegal confinement from May 20, 2013 to Sep 11, 2015, Station Officer Vinod Kumar said.

As per the complaint filed by the victim, he was put in illegal confinement and tortured by the accused, police said.

Singh, a resident of Nangla Peepal village, who used to work as a domestic help at the accused house, had also complained that the assailants had withdrawn Rs 30,000 from his account.
 

No arrests have been made so far in the case, Kumar said.
