Delhi Police today registered a case of negligent driving against the head constable on the complaint of AAP Delhi convener Dilip Pandey alleging that he "attempted to mow him down".
"The allegation was found to be wrong and a case of negligent driving was registered against van driver Azad Singh at Rajender Nagar Police station," said a senior police officer.
Pandey had alleged that he was standing outside Rajinder Nagar police station to enquire about party volunteers who were detained there after a protest at Ananad Parbat police station, when the van tried to mow him down.
Yesterday, on the complaint of the head constable a case was registered under various sections of IPC against protestors who had beaten him accusing that he was trying to run over them.
