A case has been registered against ten absconding persons, accused of murdering two sisters and raping one of them, for not appearing in the court, police said today.
A case under section 174 (Non-attendance in obedience to an order form public servant) of the IPC has been registered against ten persons identified as Shamim, Kadeer, Faizan, Naeem, Shahid, Mobin, Furkan, Israr, Inam, and Mansoor, Sub-Inspector Ramendra Signh said.
Two sisters aged 15 and 20, were allegedly abducted by 12 people from Kairana town in Shamli district on July 25.

While the body of the 20-year-old girl, who was raped before being killed was found on August 2, body of the younger sister was found on August 6, police said.
Police had registered a case against 12 people in this connection out of which two have been arrested while remaining accused are still at large with court initiating attachment proceedings against them.
