Case registered against youth for trying to molest girl

A youth was today booked on charges of molesting and assaulting a 13-year-old girl here.

The girl's father, a resident of Natwar Nagar, lodged a complaint with police alleging that a youth in his neighbourhood tried to molest his 13-year-old daughter yesterday and also threatened to pour acid on her face if she showed any resistance.

The youth's father also allegedly threatened the girl's father asking him not to lodge a complaint.

The accused are the brother and father of an MBA student, who had alleged on December 6 that she was sexually assaulted and verbally abused for over a year by the father of her tuition student.
 

A case has been registered against the accused under various sections of the IPC as well as the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act.
