Cases filed against gang

Forest Department officials today filed cases against some unidentified gang in connection with the death of 10 peacocks at Kamuthakudi.

According to officials the Peacock were found dead in the paddy field and suspected that the tillers would have poisoned the birds as they damaged the crops.

They would have mixed pesticide with paddy.
