Press Trust of India New Delhi
Cashew prices rose by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today on increased buying by retailers and stockists to meet rising domestic demand amid paucity of stocks.

Fall in supplies from growing regions also supported the uptrend.

Cashew kernel No 180, No 210, No 240 and No 320 rose by Rs 5 each to conclude at Rs 900-910, Rs 800-810, Rs 670-680 and Rs 570-610 per kg respectively.

Marketmen said increased buying by retailers and stockists against tight supplies from growing regions mainly pushed up cashew prices to rise on the wholesale dry fruit market here.

Almond (California) Rs 18,600 Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 8,000-8,300; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 4,400-4,700; Abjosh Afghani Rs 8,000-22,000.
