A 65-year-old cattle trader was today shot dead by unidentified persons who also looted Rs one lakh from him in Bansdeeh area, police said today.
Rajdev Singh and his son Santosh were travelling on a bike when they were intercepted by three bike-borne persons near Tandwa village this afternoon. While Rajdev was shot dead they managed to loot Rs one lakh from them, Additional Superintendent of Police, K C Goswami said.
The body has been sent for post mortem and the accused are absconding, he added.
